چکیده
Banana is the most widely cultivated fruit crop in Kerala. Nendran, a dual purpose cultivar grown for consumption as vegetable unripe stage and also fruit, upon ripening. An experiment was conducted during 2019-20 to extend shelf life of this through shrink wrapping, followed by storage under ambient cool chamber conditions, after sanitizing with chlorine (100 ppm) treatment alum (1 %) subsequently dipping fungicide, Carbendazim 50 WP (0.1 %). Initial titratable acidity ascorbic acid contents Nendran banana were 0.16 % 6.06 mg 100g-1 respectively. Total phenols starch content freshly harvested green 145 84.0 Shelf wrapped fruits held could be extended 45 days whereas unwrapped (control) became unmarketable 7 days. The findings study revealed that physiological loss weight rate respiration recorded an upward trend while firmness downward trend. soluble solids, rose advancement duration total declined. . developed protocol used long distance transportation distant markets internal trade well shipment foreign markets.

Effect of Storage Temperature and Packaging Material on Shelf Life of Thornless Blackberry
Blackberry is a highly perishable fruit and its quality decreases very quickly during postharvest period. In this research, two types of container including: oriented poly styrene (OPS), a petroleum-based material, and oriented poly corn starch (OPCS), a bio-based material, was analyzed over 14 days to determine their effects on shelf life of thornless blackberry. Packages were placed in freeze...

Litchi is a non-climacteric fruit (Wills et al. 2004) and it deteriorates very fast after harvest. Various technologies have been devised to minimize the post-harvest losses of litchi, one of such technologies is the use of PP bag & low temperature. The objectives of the study were to evaluate the effects of thiLitchi is a non-climacteric fruit and it deteriorates very fast after harvest. Vario...
متن کاملQUALITY OF PITAYA FRUIT (Hylocereus undatus) AS INFLUENCED BY STORAGE TEMPERATURE AND PACKAGING SERGIO
Pitaya (Hylocereus undatus) is a non-climacteric fruit that reaches its best eating quality when harvested ripe, decreasing thereafter during storage (CHIEN et al., 2007). As a new crop, there have been limited studies focused on extending the postharvest quality of pitaya fruit. The main postharvest problems of pitaya fruit are mechanical injury, chilling injury, decay, and water loss (NERD et...
